Azuche 88 will carry out the renewal of measures for the conservation and protection of archaeological remains in San Esteban (31/01/2017)

Azuche 88 is the company proposed by the Contracting Bureau to carry out the renovation of the measures of conservation and protection of the archaeological remains of the Garden of St. Stephen.

This was decided at the meeting held this morning, chaired by the Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Eduardo Martinez-Oliva, which has admitted the offer presented, although he had incurred recklessness.

Finally, the project will be executed with a budget of 54,700 euros, compared to 77,000 euros of the bid amount.

The contract involves the renewal of the current conservation measures of the archaeological site and has an expected execution period of four months.

The intervention includes the superficial consolidation of archaeological structures of the deposit, the revision and reinforcement of the fences in the vertical consolidation of archaeological structures and the replacement of the geotextile mesh, as a means of direct protection against meteorological agents, as well as avoidance The development of vegetation.

Likewise, a review and reinforcement of the gravel coverage will be undertaken in the areas where the geotextile is restored and structures are repaired, as well as the filling of hollows with gravel in areas that are considered the best solution for the vertical containment of structures .

On the other hand, the works will also take into account the revision of the fence of the deposit and the review of the system of drainage of the deposit.

During all the intervention will be made with a documentary record of the state of the deposit and of the interventions that are carried out, together with the writing of a report with detailed description and the corresponding graphic documentation.

Azuche 88 now has a period of 10 days to provide the necessary documentation to formalize the contract, which must be reviewed by the Contracting Bureau.

Then, the Governing Board will approve the award.
