The Ciudadanos vowel in the Eastern District proposes the creation of a flamenco festival in Murcia (31/01/2017)

The vocal of Citizens in the District of the East, Juan Miguel Bernabé, will propose in the plenary that is celebrated today, at 20.00 hours, in the cultural center of La Paz, the launch of a flamenco festival in Murcia , In collaboration with the City Council, under the name of "Los tres barrios", thus making reference to the three districts that make up the district, Vistabella, La Paz and La Fama.

"With this type of initiative," said Bernabé, "we want to give impetus to the culture in our neighborhoods, especially in this district of Murcia, where flamenco is rooted in a very special way as a cultural and artistic expression."

In the opinion of the vocalist of the orange formation, this festival should take place during the month of June, and the best location would be in the garden of Las Palmeras, next to the Avenue of May, in the neighborhood of La Paz.

Also, said Bernabé, "the festival should have competitions of singing, touch and dance, as well as performances of these modalities;

And to have a jury in which they are represented members of the University of Murcia, chair of flamenco of the UCAM, School of Dramatic Arts and Dance, conservatories, among others.

As part of this event - the C's representative in the Eastern District finalized - free flamenco workshops would be given;

And a painting contest could be called for the election of the festival poster.
