Ortiz: "The technical reports advise against the construction of an underground passage in Camino de Tiñosa" (26/01/2017)

The Councilor for Development, Roque Ortiz, has shown today in the municipal plenary session "tired of opposition municipal groups looking for any strategy to delay the arrival of the AVE to Murcia." He already stressed "in relation to the intervention of the opposition To replace the bridge of Camino de Tiñosa by a tunnel, which would mean a new delay for the arrival of the High Speed to the municipality of Murcia.

The councilman also said that a meeting was called a few days ago between the Mayor and affected residents to be held next Monday to explain in detail the "technical reports that totally discourage the creation of an underground passage in Camino de Tiñosa and Which would lead to isolation and damage to the structure of some houses, delay in construction, communication cuts with garden lanes, interruption of irrigation infrastructures and a higher cost of execution and maintenance.

In response to the motion of the opposition groups calling for "a participatory process in which technicians of the Ministry of Public Works and the City of Murcia study the possibility of new alternatives without delaying the adaptation of the Railroad at high speed, "the report said that" it is not feasible, since any modification in this would entail delays. "

In addition, since the diversion works included in the vicinity of the upper Tiñosa Road, according to the profile of the upper passage on the Tiñosa Road, were already carried out, "another alternative would be a new study of the diversion of these networks, and the deviation itself before To execute the works of any other alternative to the overpass that is being carried out, with the impairment that this would suppose a delay to the adaptation of the route of the railroad to the high speed ".

In the report to which the councilor has referred, the proposal for creating the underground passage has been analyzed taking into account technical and accessibility factors, economic and opportunity.

Ortiz has listed the improvements that have already been included in the project, such as the Intersection with Orilla de la Via, through the incorporation of lanes that improve road safety, eliminating visibility problems that existed previously in the intersections of the lanes with The main road;

Of road safety through the implementation of horizontal signage and vertical signaling reinforcing the measures for a safer circulation, and intensifying the security of access to the main road, and incorporation of a pedestrian walkway to provide greater accessibility in the Transit to both sides of the road, improving the accessibility conditions for neighbors and companies installed in the area.
