The Cofradía del Refugio and the College of Physicians will receive the Gold Medal of the City (26/01/2017)

The City Council began this morning, with its approval in the municipal Plenary, the procedure that will culminate in the awarding of the Gold Medal of the City to the Brotherhood of the Most Holy Christ of Refuge and to the Illustrious Association of Physicians of the Region and Of the title of Adoptive Son to José Sánchez Lozano.

In this way, the religious, historical and cultural ties of the Cofradía del Refugio with the municipality of Murcia, the service vocation of the Official College of Physicians, as well as its impulse to the promotion of the culture and well-being of the Murcians and the linkage of the Sculptor of Pilar de la Horadada, José Sánchez Lozano, with the city of Murcia, where he developed much of his work and where his workshop was located.
