The University of Murcia (UMU) will celebrate tomorrow, the 27th, the traditional act of the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, which also includes the investiture as honorary doctor of the Professor of Chemistry of the University of Oxford (United Kingdom) Paul Derek Beer and the presentation of the Code of Ethics of this educational institution.
The presentation of this Code of Ethics will be in charge of UMU professor Emilio Martínez.
As for the new doctor honoris causa, his appointment was agreed during the session that the Cloister held last June.
The feast of St. Thomas Aquinas will be held, starting at 11:30 am, at the Faculty of Economics and Business, on the campus of Espinardo.
During the event will be the delivery of the End of Career Awards, Extraordinary Doctorate Awards and Medals to University Dedication.
Prior to the academic event, the church of La Merced will host the celebration of a Mass, at 9:30 am, in memory of members of the university community who died in the last year.
