A total of 25 young entrepreneurs have started the development of their innovative ideas in the University of Murcia (UMU) Aula de Empreendimiento, within the Santander Yuzz 2017 Program.

Over the next five months, young people, selected from more than 80 applications, will be able to develop innovative projects, receive mentoring and train themselves in this UMU coworking space.

Among the projects to be developed in all sectors of activity are a logistics platform that provides e-commerce with the necessary resources or a tourism portal based on local hosts.

Also, a dron that performs preventive fire works, a hundred percent natural color or a sophisticated system that detects irregularities and problems derived from sleep, among others.

The best entrepreneur at the Yuzz Murcia Center will be rewarded with a trip to Silicon Valley, where he will have access to American investors, and will then be able to choose a financing of 60,000 euros for his project.

In turn, the best project of the center led by an entrepreneur will have the opportunity to aspire to the Yuzz Mujer national award.

The Yuzz Program, coordinated by the Santander International Entrepreneurship Center (CISE), is managed at the University of Murcia by its Employment Information and Orientation Center (COIE), under the Vice-rectorate for Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Employment, headed by Professor Francisca Tomás.
