The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Murcia (UMU) today celebrated the award of diplomas to the honorary collaborating professors of this center.
During the event, framed in celebration of the feast of San Anton, has discovered a plaque containing the anatomical description of the horse of the mural that is in the hall of the Faculty.
The professor of the Faculty Francisco Gil has been the author of the text of the plaque that accompanies the mural, which is based on a drawing extracted from a work by Professor José Sandoval Suárez (1931-2006), who was one of the great referents Of the Spanish Veterinary Anatomy.
The event, chaired by the Vice Chancellors of Research, Antonio Juan Garcia, and Professor, José Ángel López, and the dean of the center, Gaspar Ros, also included the presentation of an exhibition of posters about the history of veterinary medicine.
