For the works a budget of 556,000 euros is available

The councilor of the Municipal People's Group in the City of Murcia, Rafael Gomez, said that "the work of the project to reform the library of Sangonera la Verde are already underway and we will ensure that they are executed as soon as possible"

In addition, said Gómez, that said project, which has a budget of 556,000 euros, "contemplates a new reading room open 24 hours for independent access."

"By means of the works, it is acting in the totality of the useful area of ​​the building that houses the library, concretely 347,23 m2 in the ground floor and 337,65 m2 in the first one", recalled Gómez.

Rafael Gómez has replied to the councilman of the municipal group Cambiemos Murcia Nacho Tornel, who has asked the Government team to enable a space in Sangonera la Verde to house a study room.

"The project includes the necessary actions for the promotion of accessibility by adapting toilets in both plants to use by people with disabilities and replacing the existing elevator car with another adapted for people with reduced mobility," added the holder of Education.

The head of Education has pointed out that "this action is part of the project to expand the network of study rooms in districts and districts, equipped with Internet connection, and permanently open."

"This is one of the main commitments assumed by the City Government Team, providing the necessary technical means to these spaces and that can provide a perfect service," concluded Gómez Carrasco.
