Next Saturday 14 January, at 9.30 pm, the Municipal Center of Patiño will host the 6th edition of the Folk Music Festival.
This meeting of traditional folk music is one of the events around the traditions of the Huerta de Murcia that in these days after Christmas are celebrated in Patiño, the best known being the Meeting of Squads Manuel Cárceles Memorial 'El Patiñero' .
The festival will be played by two important groups of Murcia folk music: Women with root and Tua.
Women with roots is a project that wants to highlight the voice of women in the folklore Murcia.
The Festival Folkpelotas will host the presentation of his first album 'The Ages of Life', to be published soon.
Túa is a group of Murcian origin but with Galician roots that interprets folk music of the north and the south, medieval sounds, Celtas, that go from the Galician airs to the muñeiras and the Irish jigas.
Following these two performances, Patron's Cuadrilla, promoter of this festival, will offer songs of aguilando and traditional dances
