Murcia inaugurates the national circuit'Colores against the violence of gender 2017' (11/01/2017)

More than 3,000 participants will tour the main streets of the city of Murcia to fight against gender violence on January 22 at 11:00 p.m.

Next January 22 at 11:00 am the city of Murcia will inaugurate the national circuit 'Colors against Gender Violence 2017', a participatory, festive, solidarity and suitable for all public, which runs through the main Spanish cities visibilizando , Through color rains, social commitment to gender equality and the eradication of mistreatment.

Under the umbrella of the 'UNITE UNITE' campaign, this action, which will involve more than 3,000 people and aims to end violence against women, seeks to raise awareness of society and help transform it to achieve equality between men and women.

The event will have the exit in the Plaza de la Cruz Roja and all participants will wear the '016' number, the purple commemorative tie, participating in awareness actions for equality.

The Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, who presented the event together with Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello this morning, explained that "as you progress through the route, four 'stations of color' will cross that represent The eradication of mistreatment, gender equality, reconciliation and the right to be happy. According to Ruiz Caballero, the event "wants to become an unforgettable experience to share with friends or family, where the participants will end up becoming fun multi-colored canvases for a solidarity cause, since the full benefits will go to shelters for women Victims of violence, projects of empowerment and sensitization ".
