Martínez-Oliva: "The City has already financed 4.2 million euros for the access of the AVE buried to the city" (10/01/2017)

The Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, has asked the Socialist Municipal Group not to "misrepresent or manipulate municipal budgets by deceiving the society of Murcia on a subject as delicate as the arrival of the AVE to the municipality."

"They know perfectly well, because it was made public in the presentation of the draft budgets that for the access of the AVE buried to the city have budgeted 50,000 euros but that the municipal contribution for all works amounts to 6.63 million euros. Of these, 4.2 million euros have already been financed so far, that is to say, the planned contribution has already been fulfilled until the year 2018 inclusive ", Martínez-Oliva pointed out.

The councilman recalled that, as agreed in the Board of Directors of the Society Murcia High Speed March 2015, the amount of integration works of the burial, as well as the management of work and technical assistance would be paid by Adif High Speed that will pass this amount to the City of Murcia and the Autonomous Community according to the percentages established in the sixth clause of the 2006 protocol, which are 66% to Adif, 26% to the Autonomous Community and 8% to the City Council " .

"In this way the City has to pay 6.63 million euros, of which 0.39 correspond to 2016, 1.98 to 2017 and 2.13 to 2018 and all of them have already been financed by this City, thus advancing to The only thing left would be 2.13 million euros, which will be financed after 2018 ", explained Martinez-Oliva

"These amounts have their corresponding CR (retention of credit) dated November 24, 2016 for a total amount of 4,259,782 euros so they are entered and retained and do not have to appear in the budgets of 2017. I speak with rigor And I bring the document that show that the PSOE lies, "explained the mayor.

"I believe that the policy must be serious and rigorous and should not be fooled by seeking incomprehensible political returns," Martínez-Oliva concluded.
