The special Local Police device, launched by the Department of Traffic and Citizen Security on the occasion of the Christmas campaign, has enabled the theft prevention, recovery of lost objects and collaboration in different care actions.
It should be remembered that the Local Police Specialist Group of Local Police conducted patrols on foot in the commercial areas of the city and the Barrio del Carmen, from December 1 to January 8, 2017. They participated daily in shifts Morning and afternoon, 30 agents of this group both uniformed and non-uniformed.
Following the City Council's objective of making its police close and visible, its role was focused on increasing the sense of security of citizens, paying special attention to the prevention of theft and street vending.
Likewise, and because of the proximity of the patrols, they responded to numerous requests for information from citizens.
