The Council of Government has authorized, at the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Universities, the comprehensive reform works of the Secondary School Alfonso X 'El Sabio' Murcia, which have a budget of 1,500,000 euros from European funds .
The actions will be executed in four zones and phases, that can be developed simultaneously or separately, with a term of execution of six months.
Thus, in the first phase, new lighting, heating, sanitation and plumbing, ventilation, lightning rods, interior and exterior carpentry, coatings and false ceilings will be installed in the teaching building, corridors, classrooms and wet areas and new façade.
In the second phase, in the gymnasium area, all the exterior carpentry and its facade, as well as that of the auditorium will be replaced.
In the third phase, in the elevator area, the institute will have new structure, foundation, electrical installations, coatings, carpentry, accessibility and security and new roofs.
The integral reform of this educational center also foresees the installation of new covers that guarantee the maximum security, the substitution of the fiber cement by panels and the total isolation and waterproofing of all the structures.
