The Board of Governors has approved, through the Department of Social Rights, the renewal of two collaboration agreements with Fundación la Caixa for the development of the projects' Ciberaula: when leaving class' and 'Caixa Pro-infancia contra la pobreza childish'.
The first one, financed with 48,000 euros, serves after school hours 150 children, aged between 5 and 16 years, belonging to families and groups at a social risk, with problems of reconciliation of family and work life.
The collaboration between the City Council and the la Caixa Foundation aims to provide resources and educational activities and incorporate the participants in communication technologies.
To do this, they have three cyber spheres located in the Social Services Center of Espinardo, the Cultural Center of Los Dolores and in the place of 'The Innovator' of San Pío X, all equipped with playroom, library and a computer room.
Participants are involved in the program 'You have talent' for the development of potentialities.
On the other hand, the Caixa Proinfancia project is developed in various districts and districts of Murcia through networks formed by various social organizations, among which are Caritas, Fundación CEPAIM, Columbares, COPEDECO, Fundación Secretariado Gitano y Plena Inclusión.
It has more than 2.5 million euros in funding from the la Caixa Foundation, which allows the care of more than 1,800 children throughout the municipality, through the management of goods and the provision of various educational reinforcement services and Leisure and free time and integral attention to the families of the minors, all coordinated by the municipal social services.
With the approval of the extension of these collaboration agreements, the continuity of these projects for the year 2017 is guaranteed.
