The main streets of Murcia congregate the last afternoon of the year to more than 5,000 participants in the San Silvestre (23/12/2016)

More than 5,000 participants will celebrate New Year's Eve by running through the main streets of the town, as it is tradition, in San Silvestre Murcia, to be held on 31 December.

The event, organized by the collaboration between the La Verdad newspaper, the Federation of Athletics of the Region of Murcia (FAMU) and the Department of Sports, will begin at 17:30 hours with departure and finish on Avenida Teniente Flomesta, touring Different streets of the center, passing the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga and Cathedral.

The distance established for the absolute race will be of 6.8 kilometers approximately, being able to participate any runner born in the year 2003 and previous.

The top three absolute qualifiers in both men's and women's categories will receive a trophy, plus five other prizes for the most original individual costumes, the three best characterized groups and the largest group characterized.

Depending on the time to be made in five kilometers, four drawers are set out to be selected in the registration form according to the following designation:

Drawer - A between 14'30 "and 19'59"

B drawer between 20'00 "and 24'59"

Drawer - C more than 25'00 "

Drawer - P only skaters

Runners who have not credited the selection of an exit drawer, will leave from drawer C.

To collect the number you must go to the Sports Center of the Fleet during the following days and times:

- Sunday, December 27 (from 09:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m.)

- Monday, December 28 (from 09:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)

- Tuesday, December 29 (from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)

- Wednesday, December 30 (from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
