The PSOE obtains a greater transparency and effectiveness in the management of the budget of the Municipal Boards (22/12/2016)

The Municipal Socialist Group has succeeded in the last Municipal Plenary of 2016 to carry forward the three initiatives it has defended, one of them joint with the Citizens group.

The motions have been about the criterion of distribution of the budget of the municipal boards, the process of contracting Emuasa (Aguas de Murcia) and security in the hamlet of Espinardo.

Regarding the initiative related to the budget of municipal councils, the socialist spokesman, José Ignacio Gras, stressed that "this is a motion that seeks to ensure that the economic endowment of municipal boards is carried out under a transparent distribution criterion and that , In addition, look for the efficiency to avoid that was wasted nor a euro destined to the districts and pedanías ".

"Thanks to this initiative, we hope that the distribution is done rationally and always take into account the contributions of the boards themselves to be able to allocate the budget to what is most necessary," he added.

Gras stressed the importance of betting on transparency in all areas of municipal management, so that, in addition to transparency in the accounts of the boards, the Socialist Group has defended and has obtained the approval of a motion for the hiring Through the company Emuasa is made with the criteria of a public offer of employment.

"We believe that it is important that the offer of employment be public and transparent, and that it be governed by the criteria of equality, merits and capacity according to any public offer," he said.

Finally, the spokesman of the Socialist Group regretted that his group had to submit, once again, a security-related initiative in Espinardo.

"For more than a year we have taken a motion to end the insecurity in the hamlet of Espinardo but, after this time, we are forced to return to talk about an issue that affects, a lot, the neighbors."

The initiative, which contemplates the increase of the police presence on a permanent basis, the change of location of the headquarters of the Local Police and the placement of security cameras, has been approved.

"We hope to see the first steps towards a safer Espinardo soon," concluded Gras.
