Puente tocinos rewards the literary creativity of children and young people and sportsmen and clubs most outstanding of the hamlet (21/12/2016)

Puente Tocinos, December 21, 2016.- The Municipal Board of Puente Tocinos has delivered this afternoon the Prizes for Children and Youth Literature and Sports Merit awards, called to promote and recognize in the hamlet the values ​​that both disciplines represent.

The Child and Youth Literature Contest has been aimed at boosting creativity and fostering the capacity for expression of children and young people of Puente Tocinos, something that has clearly been achieved, as it has had more than 200 participants between the ages of 9 and 19 Years, who have presented poetry or stories in three categories.

Of these, 18 papers have been selected and will in all probability be published.

Such level of participation has been made possible by the involvement of the teachers of the six schools and an institute that counts the hamlet, and have been the teachers of each one of them and the writer Mayer Nicolás who have been part of the jury.

In terms of the Sports Merit Awards, the Cronos Club has been awarded as the Entity that has most supported the sport in the hamlet.

In the category of outstanding athletes have been awarded Sergio Matencio, champion of Spain of Olympic Shot, Lucía Chacón, Regional Champion of Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Francisco Javier Martínez, elite athlete in Hapkido and YongMoooDo.

The great sporting potential of Puente Tocinos has also been reflected in the prizes awarded to the best teams or clubs, in which the Cyclist Club has been chosen, with a history that exceeds 40 years, the Handball Club, the Club of Futbol Sala and Women's Football and the Belen Cuna Sport Association which includes Football, Basketball and Chess.

For his part, Councilor for Health and Sports, Felipe Coello, has awarded the prize for the Most Outstanding Sports Trajectory, which has fallen on Isidoro Maíquez, a person who despite his serious vision problems has dedicated his whole life to sport, first Achieving important successes in dart competitions, and later as base soccer coach.

An example of improvement, education and humility that the Municipal Board of Bridge Tocinos has wanted to reward, while praising the main values ​​of the sport.
