Continuing with the policy of improving the green spaces of Murcia and pedanias, the Department of Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, has created a new area of canine recreation in Churra.
This space is located in the Plaza Infanta Leonor de Churra and offers 600 square meters so that dogs can run, play and exercise.
To this end, it has been equipped with agility gaming facilities that allow pets to exercise with games specially designed for them.
It also has a fence and a double door for dogs to run freely ensuring the safety of the rest of the garden users.
The Council has also planned the construction of another area of canine recreation in this hamlet during the first months of next year next year.
"In this way we continue to strengthen the spaces open to the elderly, children, young people, and in this case, owners of animals," remarks Councilman Guillen.
Guillén explained that the objective of creating this municipal network of infrastructures for dogs is to ensure that "public spaces are adequate and kept in perfect conditions for the use and enjoyment of Murcia, and for this it is necessary that animals Also have their site ".
The City Council is carrying out this plan to gradually create this network that allows to reconcile the fun and the recreation of the animals with the maintenance of green areas in healthy conditions of ornamentation and cleaning so that children and adults can enjoy.
The Councilman recalls that ending the scourge of dirt produced by the excrement of animals requires, on the one hand, the awareness and collaboration of all owners, and for this the Department of Development has launched several campaigns that seek The involvement of the Murcia to keep the streets, squares, parks and gardens clean.
On the other hand, the Department of Citizen Security through the Local Police denounces violations of the municipal ordinance, which is completed with sanitary control from the Department of Sports and Health.
"The third element," says Guillen, "is to provide the owners with the infrastructure and the means to get things right, and for that, the area of Urban Quality is working to start up this network of pipicanes. Carried out with the collaboration of the different councils of the City council ".
This facility is part of a plan to provide canine recreational areas to all neighborhoods and districts.
Thus, since summer of 2015 have installed some thirty new areas of canine recreation, multiplied by three spaces reserved for the recreation of pets.
