The recovery of the whole of San Esteban receives these days the definitive impulse for its implementation (20/12/2016)

The contracting table has today seen the proposals received to carry out the drafting of the master plan and to contract the renewal of conservation and protection measures for archaeological remains.

On the other hand, it will also be possible to award in the coming days the project of pedestrian conditioning of the environment.

The three actions reach a bidding budget of 566,000 euros.

Three actions needed to boost the recovery of San Esteban these days give the definitive steps for its implementation.

Specifically, it is the report of the assessment of technical proposals for the drafting of the master plan and the opening of proposals for the renewal of measures of conservation and protection for archaeological remains, in both cases, seen today by the Bureau of Recruitment , And, finally, the project of pedestrian conditioning of the environment, whose bidding will also be resolved in a few days.

Thus, the meeting held this morning, chaired by the Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, and the attendance of representatives of all municipal groups, has known the latest reports to award the wording of the master plan of the whole Of San Esteban.

Now, the technicians will make their proposal, which can be resolved at the next meeting of the Contracting Bureau, to be held in the last days of 2016 or early 2017.

The tender for the valorization of the deposit and its environment has received 8 offers.

In the technical proposals, the highest scores have been for the UTE Temperatures Extreme Arquitectos SLP and UTE San Esteban (both with 45,40 points) and the UTE Intellectual Property-Pablo Carbonell-Moho Arquitectos (36,40).

In its assessment, the contributions, advice and recommendations of external advisors have been taken into account.

Regarding the economic proposals, the lowest was presented by Promociones Construcciones Alpema Sureste (€ 109,000 plus VAT), Santatecla Arquitectos SLP (€ 111,600) and UTE Patrimonio Inteligente-Pablo Carbonell-Moho Arquitectos (€ 123,000).

The call was made with a type of tender of € 180,000, excluding VAT.

According to the tender specifications, the economic offer will represent 51% of the valuation, while 49% will be based on the technical proposal.

The next Roundtable will raise a proposal for award, which, in a few days, will be approved next by the Governing Board.

After completing these procedures, the drafting team will have 9 months to deliver the final document.

To do this, it will present the progress within 2 months, will have 4 months for the consultation phase and initial proposal and 3 more months to complete the plan.

The priority will be to offer viable solutions for the adequate recovery of the garden and the enhancement of the archaeological zone, besides attending the tourist and cultural integration of the palace and the Church.

For this, the plan will define the final solutions and actions to develop.

Reservoir conservation

Moreover, the meeting held this morning has also made progress in contracting the service of renewal of conservation and protection measures for archaeological remains.

In this case, the City Council has received six proposals from companies interested in carrying out this action, for which a budget of 77,000 euros (excluding VAT) and a deadline of execution of four months has been foreseen.

The purpose of these works is the renewal of the elements of protection of the deposit as a provisional measure, with the objective of ensuring the maintenance and stability of the archaeological enclave, with the clearing, cleaning and renovation of the geotextile layer.

Pedestrian Conditioning

Finally, the third project aimed at enhancing the value of the whole of San Esteban is the plan of pedestrian conditioning of the environment, which will allow Murcia and visitors to know on the spot and first hand the development of works to recover the deposit.

At the moment, this action is in the bidding phase, and it is foreseeable that it will also be possible to resolve the hiring in the first days of next year.

To do this, the current fence will be replaced by a steel railing that will open the space to anyone passing through the area, improving visibility and accessibility, as well as road safety, both for vehicles and pedestrians.

In addition, this action, which has, will recover for the pedestrian the perimeter space, allowing.

The works, which have a planned execution period of two months and have a budget of 309,000 euros, consist of the recovery of existing pavement in the perimeter of the Palacio de San Esteban and the construction of new sidewalks in the adjacent streets , As well as the integral renovation of the lighting system, which will be provided with greater power and lower consumption.
