The PSOE regrets that the team of Ballesta has not carried out preventive works to avoid floods again (17/12/2016)

The Municipal Socialist Group regrets that the Government team of the City of Murcia has not taken the appropriate measures or carried out the necessary actions to prevent the problems that are occurring throughout the municipality, where there are ramblas and streets flooded because of the rains.

Socialist spokesman José Ignacio Gras believes that "since these problems are well known and repeated year after year, the Ballesta team should know how to prevent them more effectively instead of focusing on criticizing our complaints and always replying to the same sentence , Which we did not hear. "

In this regard, he adds that "our group has filed motions and has reported situations of this type frequently, as happened this week when we talk about the closure of the North Ronda tunnel."

"At the moment there are ramblas, roads and streets overflowing in the whole municipality, something that we believe can be solved by making the necessary investments and carrying out a constant cleaning", recalls Gras, who adds that another of the problems added "is bad urban planning , Which causes that new zones of expansion also do not have the adequate infrastructures to evacuate the rains ".

Finally, the socialist spokesman said that his intention is to re-insist on this issue so that definitive solutions are taken to reduce the repeated problems caused by heavy rains and to that end his group is ready to make the necessary contributions.

Likewise, thanks to the Local Police and to the Firefighters "the great work that they are doing to minimize the difficulties and the annoyances by the rains".
