The PSOE reminds the City Council that it should require companies to restore public roads where they have done work (17/12/2016)

The Municipal Socialist Group reminds the City of Murcia that it should require companies to carry out works on the public thoroughfares of the municipality that, once completed, must restore the area to avoid any risk to the safety of citizens.

In this sense, the socialist councilor Maite Espinosa asks "the Councilor for Development to control the completion of the works carried out by the companies in the municipality. It is not logical that when the works finalize the firm does not return to its original state, especially when Pose a danger to neighbors who have to transit.

The mayor warned that a few weeks ago a company opened trenches on the road to Santa Catalina and Aljucer and El Palmar to introduce the new lines that go to the substations of Patiño and El Palmar and, after completing these works, the Area has not been left in good condition.

"The problem is that the ditches have been closed without replacing the shoulder and asphalt as it was before and is a danger for bicycles and carts because the chinarro has been left loose, although the most serious occurs in the bridge of Reguerón Because the work was done on the same road, so now it is uneven and irregular and cars skid, "says Espinosa who adds that" it is dangerous and with these rainy days the problem is going to get worse, and more in a Zone that has so much traffic ".

Likewise, the council said that "it is a work that is not well finished and therefore can be seen even under some stretches, which is a risk for motorcycles and bicycles that circulate."

Therefore, he declares, "the City has to be responsible and when the companies finish the works must leave the area where they have been working in good conditions or, if not, at least be signaled to avoid any risk for the citizen."
