The Department of Traffic and Public Safety has prepared the specifications for the supply and installation of a total of 1,000 galvanized steel fork lift trucks in the municipality, for which 50,000 euros will be invested.
In this way, the offer of parking in the municipality of Murcia is expanded that will be located in response to requests already received at the Municipal Bicycle Office and those that will be registered in the near future.
These elements will be installed not only in areas that lack this type of infrastructure, but also in locations where it is necessary to expand existing ones because they present a great demand by users or that have experienced a greater presence of cyclists in recent months.
In these elements you can lock your bike at different points (front wheel, frame, seat and rear wheel), which makes them a safer model.
They consist of a rod of galvanized steel, stainless steel or aluminum, inverted U-shape and fixed to the ground.
They allow you to park a bicycle on each side of the bar, so that you can park two bicycles in only one car park.
The maximum price is 50,000 euros and the execution period of 12 months.
