From December 16, 2016 to January 5, 2017, the Association of Merchants of the Barrio del Carmen organizes the campaign 'El Carmen es Navidad' for the promotion and dynamization of its commercial area.
The associated shops will give away as usual with their purchases, tickets for El Tren de la Navidad, 2x1 at fairgrounds, photocall and discounts for a Boat trip on the Segura river
In the Barrio de El Carmen it is already Christmas, and the merchants have organized the campaign 'Carmen is Christmas' to promote the sale in establishments in the area.
According to the Councilor for Trade and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrín "the objective of these activities is to continue promoting the Barrio del Carmen shopping area and value their businesses through the different actions and activities."
As a beginning of the campaign, on Friday December 16 at 20:00 hours will be inaugurated the Bethlehem in the Garden of Floridablanca with the performance of Rondalla and Coros Virgen de la Vega and the Christmas Dance Group Aerodance Gym will offer their show ' Welcome Christmas'.
This year there is a novelty, on Saturday December 17 will take place the I Gymkhana Christmas shopping Barrio del Carmen with a meeting point in the Garden of Floridablanca and in the morning from 11:30 a.m. to 13:30 a.m. and on schedule In the afternoon from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Aimed at all types of public, so that everyone can participate, it will consist of finding, among the associated stores and 'marked' areas, all the garments or accessories that will carry three characters characterized.
There will be 5 different routes.
Once the article is located, the establishments will seal the entry form, all the cards will be completed and validated at the checkpoint, where the participants will be able to exchange them for prizes.
For the winners (1 per route) there will be 5 gift vouchers of 50 euros to be exchanged at the associated merchants.
The Belén can be visited on December 24 and 31, 2016, and January 5, 2017 in the morning from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and on the 17, 18, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 December 2016 and 2, 3 and 4 January 2017 in the morning from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and in the afternoon from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
From December 19 to January 5, 2017, during the morning and afternoon, the characters will tour the commercial area, visiting the associated stores and exchanging purchase tickets for details and Christmas gifts.
In the Children's Corner next to the Belén (from December 26 to January 5, 2017), with free admission to complete capacity, there will be a multi-games playroom and different workshops among which are: Christmas Brooches GomaEva, Handmade print on T-shirts, Hama Special Christmas, Pintacaras and Globoflexia, MasterChef (Christmas Sweets), Initiation to drawing Manga and Christmas in Paper.

In addition, Christmas can be congratulated in a different way with the 3D PHOTOCALL, which will make you feel protagonist, installed next to the Bethlehem from 17 December.
The Talking Tree with movement will be planted in the pond of the Floridablanca Garden from December 26 to January 1.
As every year The Christmas Train will tour the streets of Barrio from December 25 to January 4, 2017 from 17:30 to 20:30 hours.
The walk is free before withdrawal of ticket when buying in the shops of the Association.
