Civil Protection Volunteers are formed in the integral assistance to women victims of gender violence (14/12/2016)

The Councilor for Traffic and Citizen Security, Lola Sánchez, attended the inauguration of the training program on gender violence carried out thanks to the agreement signed with the General Directorate for Women and in which the Psychosocial Unit of the Volunteer Group of Civil protection.

Thus, 30 Civil Protection volunteers from Murcia, Lorca and Alcantarilla are learning protection systems and comprehensive assistance to women victims of gender violence, through the provision of a support service and psychological and social care in emergency situations .

In this training program, which takes place in the Civil Protection training room of Murcia, in the FICA Workshop School Campus for four sessions will work different contents such as concepts, features, cycles and warning signals of the violence of Gender, specialized resources for the care of women victims of gender-based violence, functioning of Specialized Care Centers, protocols for dealing with cases of child abuse, Urgent Telephone Assistance for Battered Women 112 and the coordination process of Device 112 with Specialized groups of Civil Protection, among others.
