The PSOE calls for a transport consortium to end the lack of coordination between administrations (13/12/2016)

The spokesman of the Municipal Socialist Group, José Ignacio Gras, together with Councilors Maite Espinosa and Juan Vicente Larrosa, visited this morning the facilities of the company Latbus, where they noted the urgent need to create a transport consortium to avoid "one of The main ills that afflict the sector, such as the lack of coordination between administrations and the lack of a single interlocutor, which is resulting in lines that coincide or different bonds, which ultimately confuses the user, "says Larrosa.

The mayor considers that the intention on the part of the City of Murcia to constitute a Mesa del Transporte "is an initiative that is short and that would also compete with the master plan of the Autonomous Community, so that the objective should be a consortium Where the two administrations are involved, concessionary companies of the transport, including the tram, and also the sector of the taxi ".

At the moment, according to Larrosa, "a supramunicipal consortium is essential to guarantee a quality service that is not deficit and that also helps to solve problems with the coincident lines that collapse the traffic and where the existing bonds also unify".

The council added that "as companies in the sector make an effort to provide good service to citizens, administrations must make the same effort or greater to avoid uncoordination."

From the Socialist Municipal Group, work is being done to ensure that public transport is of the highest quality and at the lowest price so that it is attractive enough for the citizen to replace the private car to make Murcia a cleaner and friendlier municipality.
