The Governing Council has authorized, at the proposal of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructures, the grant of a subsidy worth 2.2 million euros for the provision of bus service in Murcia and urban centers around the city.
With this endowment, the regional government guarantees the provision of the regular public passenger transport service of general use travelers and favors the access to this service, helping to obtain affordable prices to the users.
This service affects all the displacements between the city of Murcia, districts and the metropolitan area of ​​the city, with municipalities like Alcantarilla, Molina, Las Torres de Cotillas and Santomera, which are provided by the company Transportes de Viajeros de Murcia SLU
The Ministry and Transport of Murcia Murcia SLU will sign a collaboration agreement for the granting and regulation of the subsidy, which allows the bonus of 37 percent of the price of the ordinary ticket.
The Community has invested a total of 4.4 million euros this year to ensure the provision of this public transport service, which benefits 10 million users per year.
