The Ramón Gaya Museum, together with the Jesus Abandoned Foundation, launches the solidarity initiative 'This Museum is the milk', in which all visitors to the Museum can deliver cartons of milk that will later be donated to this charity.
This proposal takes place within the event Murcia Shopping Night, which will take place on Friday, December 16 from 18:00 a.m. to 00:00 p.m., and whose objective is to put in value the commerce of the center of the city.
As the director of the Ramón Gaya Museum, Manuel Fernández-Delgado explains, "El Gaya is milk all year round", but in a special way "in this Shopping Night, where we hope to exceed the two thousand liters of milk we collected last year To the benefit of the Jesus Abandoned Foundation ".
Thus, underlines that "this action would not make any sense without the dissemination through the Association of Merchants of Murcia Center and if there was no Abandoned Jesus."
"We are a mere vehicle for the solidarity of the Murcia, so that those who can not enjoy the Shopping Night", can at least benefit from it, remarks Fernández-Delgado.
From the Jesus Abandoned Foundation, its president José Moreno thanks this solidarity initiative "on behalf of the Patronage, its 300 volunteers, its professionals and, above all, the users."
Finally, Moreno encourages all Murcia to take a carton to the Ramon Gaya Museum this Friday.
The Jesús Abandonado Foundation, which carries out its work in the Region of Murcia together with the Hospital Order of San Juan de Dios, has 202 places in the Reception Center, 30 in supported homes and 26 more in the social pension that manages the institution.
All the programs developed by Jesús Abandonado have individualized, continuous and integral attention through a multidisciplinary team made up of social workers, psychologists, nurses, auxiliaries and educators, with the reinforcement of volunteers.
