The Parrandboleros, recently arrived from their tour of Argentina, will participate this Monday in the tribute to the Las Vegas Trio (11/12/2016)

The city dedicates a garden to the mythical musical formation of the 50's, which triumphed throughout Spain with its beautiful 'Bolero to Murcia'.

The event is celebrated tomorrow, at 17:00, at the confluence of Abenarabi street and Juan Carlos I Avenue.

A performance of Los Parrandboleros, returning Sunday from their tour of Argentina, will participate Monday in the tribute that the city of Murcia will render the old Las Vegas Trio, with the inauguration of a garden that bears the name of this musician-vocal formation That made famous the 'Bolero to Murcia' in the decade of years 50.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and members of the Municipal Corporation will open tomorrow at 5 pm at the confluence of Abenarabi Street with Juan Carlos I Avenue, the garden dedicated to the Las Vegas Trio.

The event will be attended by the two remaining members of the mythical group: Antonio Martínez Pellicer and Emilio Martínez Palazón.

A representation of Los Parrandboleros (with the children of Antonio Martínez 'Las Vegas' at the head, Antonio and Alfredo Martínez) will interpret the most famous theme of the old trio, 'Bolero to Murcia', composed by the Aragon Francisco del Val, and also The 'Coplas Murcianas', by Manuel Masotti Littel.

The acclaimed Las Vegas Trio has its origins in a contest of new artists held in the grounds of the Murcia Fair in the 1950s, officially forming in 1956, after winning the II National Contest of Habaneras.

Its great success, 'Bolero to Murcia', was for weeks at the top of the lists of radio hits of our country.

They were the greatest exponents of the musical talent Murcia of the mid-twentieth century.

They recorded eight songs that were successful throughout the country, but the group disbanded after the death of one of its members, Asensio Cerezo Iniesta, in 1958. Antonio and Emilio continued their musical careers in other formations, 'Bolero to Murcia'.
