The City of Murcia maintains support to the Federation of Social Centers for Older people of the municipality, which completes the offer of activities of the 76 social centers during the year, thanks to a subsidy of 24,055 euros that the Governing Board has approved for this initiative .
The program of activities of the Federation of social centers for older people includes projects such as the election of the Queen of the Elderly, carriage, parade in Bando de la Huerta, Spring Festival of Murcia, Championship of Typical Games Murcian and Table, Vl Exhibition Of Painting, Homage to the older grandparents, and finally the edition of the magazine on the centers 'We demand the word'.
The projects are carried out throughout the year and involve about 1,507 senior partners in the centers.
The Department of Social Rights directed by Conchita Ruiz Caballero works to promote and update the activities that promote active aging, the welfare of the elderly in the municipality, promoting the community life of them.
