The Councilor for Modernization, José Guillén, explained that thanks to these restoration work "the planks have been treated to be more resistant to the inclemency of the weather. In addition, it has given greater security to this central plaza, one of the most Visited daily by children and adults, with the new systems of subjection.

The councilman stressed that in these tasks have worked a fortnight of workers who have needed to close different areas of the garden for safety "because above all the safety of Murcia is the first thing to be controlled when doing such tasks.

This action is part of the plan for maintenance and improvement of squares, parks and gardens carried out by the City Council to enable Murcia to enjoy public spaces in the best conditions.

Not only are the gardens maintained in their optimum state, but also a permanent remodeling program is carried out in certain areas of the municipality.
