Avenida Alfonso X will receive next week the XXXII edition of the Christmas Craft Exhibition (29/11/2016)

The XXXII regional show of Christmas Crafts will open to the public on December 2 until January 5 in Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio.

The City of Murcia through the Department of Commerce, Organization and Institutional Relations, directed by Maruja Pelegrín, has participated in the organization of this exhibition of the Directorate General of Crafts of CARM, which will include 71 stands, of which 67 are artisans and two dedicated to NGOs.

The councilman of Commerce who has participated in the presentation of the event together with the director general of Commerce and Consumer Protection, Francisca Cabrera, where he stressed that "there are 15 municipalities that participate this year in the show."

The 15 municipalities of the Region represented by their craftsmen will be Abarán, Águilas, Bullas, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cartagena, Ceuta, Jumilla, Lorca, Molina de Segura, Moratalla, Murcia, Las Torres De Cotillas, Totana, Yecla and San Javier.

Also participating are three artisans from Cantabria, Granada and Zamora.

With this action, Pelegrín has stated that "Murcia City Council continues to promote and offer support to small artisans as well as retailing and helping to revive the commercial activity of the center of Murcia."

The exhibition, which will feature a variety of crafts (traditional clay pottery, jewelers, confectioners, glaziers, wristbands, winemakers and metalworkers, among others) will open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 00 hours.

It will be closed on 25 December and 1 January all day and evening on 24 and 31 December.

This year 18 crafts workshops will be held, nine participatory and nine demonstrations, where interested parties can register for free at the promotional stand.

On the other hand, next to the promotional booth of the show, on December 21, 22 and 23, a small stage will be set up where various musical groups will act to soften the purchases.

In addition, between 21 and 24 December, the participation of the Federation of Peñas Huertanas will be held, which will carry out activities such as carols, a costumbrista exhibition and folk dances.
