The Electric Vehicle Working Table starts to run (23/11/2016)

Councilor for Modernization, José Guillén, explained that "among the measures most valued are the creation of an adequate network of electric recharging points on public thoroughfares and the free parking for vehicles with the different zero emissions in the zones of Regulated parking of Murcia "

The Councilor for Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, José Guillén, inaugurated this morning the Electric Vehicle Working Table whose objective is "to present and share in a planned way the contributions and suggestions that have been made to the draft document The Local Strategy of the Electric Vehicle of the Municipality of Murcia presented last September 19 ".

Since its public presentation, the document has been open to a participatory process and to gather opinions and new ideas to involve society in the preparation of the final document of the Municipal strategy in the area of ​​support and promotion of the electric vehicle.

Representatives of public transport concessionaires, universities, the General Directorate of Industry, professional associations, car dealerships and electric motorcycles and companies and entities related to the sector and sustainable mobility are present at the work table.

"In this work table there is a representation of different groups with very different needs and points of view that will undoubtedly contribute to enrich the work table and to achieve a document as integrative as possible," said Guillén.

The Local Energy and Climate Change Agency of Murcia City Council has been responsible for collecting and analyzing the suggestions made in the first stage and, according to Guillén, "among the measures most valued and demanded are the creation of an adequate network of points of Electric recharge for vehicles on public roads and to make free parking for vehicles with the different zero emissions of the DGT in the regulated parking areas of Murcia.

Once this phase of contributions and pooling is completed, ALEM will compile and incorporate into the final document those measures and actions that have been considered most interesting and necessary to help the electric vehicle have an increasing presence in the municipality.
