The Moneo building lights yellow tonight to commemorate World Spina Bifida Day (21/11/2016)

The City of Murcia, through the Councils of Social Rights and Development, will illuminate the facade of the Moneo building tonight to commemorate World Spina Bifida Day.

Ruiz Caballero participated in the reading of the Manifesto on the occasion of the World Spina Bifida Day, held every year on November 21 to raise awareness about this disease, which is the second cause of physical disability in childhood.

The Council of Social Rights has allocated 8,000 euros to the Murcia Association of Parents and Children with Spina Bifida (AMUPHEB) for the care and support of 80 people with this disease and their families.

The association develops the Project "Home Services and Support to Families with children affected by Spina Bifida," which aims to provide direct and comprehensive psychosocial care and support at the home to the dependent person and their family, preventing crisis and / or Deterioration, as well as to educate in the recovery of habits of healthy life (personal hygiene, physical exercise, feeding, leisure and free time ...) and of abilities.
