The Parks and Gardens Service, which is part of the Department of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, led by José Guillén, has created a new workout area for practicing outdoor sports in Casillas.
This new area, equipped with padded floor to ensure the safety of those who practice this sport, has devices to perform sit-ups, jumps, push-ups and dominated.
In this way, the residents of Casillas are offered a specific space to practice outdoor sports, free of charge.
This new space is located in the garden of the Purísima of the hamlet, and it approaches the street exercise to all those who want to practice the 'calisthenics', a sport that every day gets more followers in countries like Germany, United States, Russia, Ukraine Or Spain.
Councilor for Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, José Guillén, explains that it is "a type of apartment to carry out exercises that were being claimed by neighbors in the area and is in full swing."
Therefore, Guillén stresses, "the council has not wanted to stay behind and has begun to install in various parts of the municipality this type of` mini gyms'.
The main peculiarity of this type of apparatus is that the force is realized mainly with the weight of your own body, using the upper part of the body, although there are also devices to strengthen the lower part.
Guillén explains that "what is intended is that the parks and gardens of the municipality be an open place for everyone, from those who want to sit on a bench to those who prefer to exercise, play games or gerontogimnasia" .
