Hundreds of people have gathered today in the Floridablanca Garden of Murcia to enjoy rhythms such as jazz, blues, funk and swing at the I Carmela Jazz Festival, a musical event organized by the District Board.
Bands such as LCD Funk, Zoot Suiters, Mood Swing and A Quarter of a Dozen Band have made the audience dance for several hours on a day that ended with the music of DJ M. Lacroix.
As they have said from the District Board, "the intention is to take culture to the streets and promote musical genres that have rarely been seen in our parks."
"Our idea", they have explained, "is to give people back the public spaces of the neighborhood."
Next Saturday will perform in the same place the band Murcian Bosco in a day of the 1st Festival Intercultural alSur to which will be invited groups of all the nationalities that live in the neighborhood.
