Tomorrow the Campus of Los Jerónimos of the Catholic University of Murcia will open at 17 hours, the XXIII Murcian Conference on Hypertension, which will last until next Saturday, November 19.

The event, declared of scientific and sanitary interest by the Spanish League for the Fight against Arterial Hypertension (SEH-LELHA), is organized by the Sociedad Murciana de Hipertensión Arterial y Corredio Cardiovascular y UCAM.

The latest news on diabetes, the care of these patients, their diet or the multidisciplinary view of cardiorespiratory protection in diabetes mellitus, are some of the topics that will be discussed at the Conference.

During the event, which also hosts the Fifth Meeting of Pharmacists of the Region of Murcia on multidisciplinary control of the patient with Cardiovascular Risk and the XVIII Meeting of the Region of Murcia on clinical experience in hypertension and CVR, will also address heart failure, kidney And cardiovascular risk, possible measures of effectiveness, efficiency and effectiveness before the RCV or new drugs.

In reference to this last area will be exposed the new therapeutic approach for the secondary prevention of the Cardiovascular Risk with the document of consensus of the clinical use of the Polypill.

Participants will be attending professionals from different clinical entities at a national level such as Almansa General Hospital, Valencia General Hospital, Nephrology Service of Hospital de Jerez de la Frontera or Hospital Virgen de la Salud de Toledo, as a regional center Health of San Andres, Santa Lucia Hospital of Cartagena or the General University Hospital Reina Sofía of Murcia, among others.

The UCAM is also involved in the field of diabetes studies from the Chair of Exercise Physiology.

The institution Murcia is developing research on prevention of diabetes.

To do this they will submit volunteers to the consumption of a tablet of natural extract for 4 weeks, and will perform a series of analyzes and an anthropometric study.
