The University of Murcia will build a Christmas tree with reused plastic bottles (16/11/2016)

The Sustainable Campus project of the University of Murcia (UMU) has launched a campaign to reuse plastic bottles and build with them a Christmas tree symbol of recycling.

Until December 15, for every three empty 1.5 liter bottles that users deposit in the office of Sustainable Campus (campus of Espinardo) will be presented with an organic plant.

On that day, in the Plaza de la Sostenibilidad del Espinardo campus, all university students who wish to participate in the construction of the tree.

This initiative of the UMU aims to raise awareness about the generation of waste associated with the current consumption model and the ability to reuse many of the products that are thrown daily into the container.
