The councilor of Cambiemos Murcia, Margarita Guerrero, today demanded the mayor, José Ballesta, "do not sit idly by" and take sides to denounce the "systematic violation" of Human Rights that occurs in the Internment Center of Foreigners (CIE) of the hamlet of Sangonera la Verde.
For Guerrero, "it is not worth that Ballesta always escudes in that it is a matter of state competition", because the center is within the municipal term of Murcia and, therefore, the Consistory "has to act" always watching because the Compliance with the human rights of all people.
He has maintained that the continuous protests of the inmates in the CIE in the last month show the "harsh conditions" of the people deprived of freedom.
He also recalled the "opaque management" of these centers as denounced on numerous occasions associations and collectives.
The municipalist formation has indicated that regidores of other municipalities of the country yes that they have pronounced against the CIE and even have fought for its closure.
"From the City Hall you have to exercise a clear opposition against these jails in which people are treated as criminals."
Finally, Guerrero has insisted on the need for civil society and public administrations to unite to demand the Government of Rajoy the definitive closure of these centers.
