The director of the Museum of Science and Water of Murcia, Maribel Parra, delivered this morning to the head of development of Parish Caritas, Gloria Gutierrez, food collected by the Museum of Science and Water of Murcia during the last weekend.
On the occasion of the celebration of the first Day of Science Museums, held on November 10 promoted by UNESCO, the Museum of Science and Water of Murcia launched last week a food collection table in support To the United Nations '' Zero Hunger '' objective number two, which aims to end hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
"All social actors and with special emphasis on public bodies, we have an obligation to support actions that help make the world a better place," according to the director of the Museum, Maribel Parra.
Given that this event coincided with the celebration of the XV Week of Science and Technology of the Region of Murcia the table was available until Sunday but the representative of Cáritas has expressed interest in maintaining a permanent collaboration with the science center.
