The City Council approves the most social fiscal ordinances in history (09/11/2016)

The changes introduced involve the freezing of all taxes, fees and public prices, the incorporation of a new 50% subsidy for orchard lots, the elimination of co-payments for social services and reductions in garbage collection and nursery schools.

Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, Councilor for Finance and Contracting, underlines the social nature of the new ordinances, which introduce measures to support the most vulnerable groups, including unemployed and elderly people.

Murcia will benefit from a tax cut in 2017, due to the freezes, reductions and exemptions introduced in the tax ordinances, which have been approved today by the Plenary.

The lowering of taxes contained in the new tax table has come forward with the votes of the Popular group, abstention of the PSOE and, and the vote against Now Murcia, Cambiemos and Citizens.

The Councilor for Finance has expressed his satisfaction that the new ordinances will benefit "all Murcia, but more to those who need it, because what best defines these tax regulations is their social character and their attention to the care of the environment" .

In general, the agreement approved by the Plenary provides for the freezing of all taxes, rates and public prices, so that taxpayers will pay next year the same amount as in 2016.

Specifically, the main changes introduced are:

- Expansion of the income level so that more people can be accommodated at the zero rate of the garbage rate, which will allow 5,500 homes to benefit.

- Once verified the result that the suppression of the opening rate in 2016 for the reactivation of trade and employment, next year also incorporates the elimination of the fee for the processing of administrative records of change of ownership in the Municipal activity license.

- At the proposal of the socialist group, reduction of 50% of the rate when one of the members of a couple marry at the City Hall or register in the registry of civil unions.

- Repeal of the fee for health services

- - At the proposal of the socialist group, elimination of the payment of the fee for the installation on the public road of bars of bars in the parties of pedanias.

- Bonus of the IBI to the owners of urban lots that maintain their crops, at least three years.

- At the proposal of Cambiemos, the exemption for payment in payment is introduced into the Plusvalía.

- On the proposal of Citizens, a 20% reduction in the price of children's schools is applied, which will benefit 600 families.

- At the proposal of the PSOE, 50% bonus of the public price of summer pools for the unemployed, while minors will be exempt from payment when one of their parents is unemployed.

- Total elimination of co-payments in social services (home help, teleassistance and family respite).

- Freezing of all other taxes, fees and public prices

On the other hand, Martínez-Oliva has announced that it assumes another five commitments in the margin of these ordinances: +

- Introduce, once the relevant technical studies have been completed, a fee for mobile telephony companies.

- At the proposal of the PSOE, reserve a bag of 250,000 euros to try to subsidize in the IBI to homeowners in a precarious economic situation.

- - At the proposal of the PSOE, study the modification of the fiscal ordinance of fords with the aim of being more just its application and that be paid according to the number of vehicles.

- Review the ford regulation ordinance, which was approved in 1980.

- On the proposal of Citizens, to carry out a study of the ordinance regulating the use of the public thoroughfare with tables and chairs.
