The Parks and Gardens Service, which is part of the Department of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, directed by José Guillén, has begun the cleaning and clearing of the bicycle lane that joins the Contraparada with Beniel.

Although the itinerary of 26.5 kilometers is revised several times throughout the year, there are two major annual actions in the field of clearing and cleaning of this path that can go both by bike and on foot.

For at least two weeks a team of six operators will travel the nearly 27 kilometers of the bike path to trim and prune, clear and repair everything that may be a nuisance for the neighbors who use this road.

These actions, Guillén explains, "seek to promote the use and enjoyment of green and natural spaces such as this, allowing the Murcia to walk around this area, practice 'running' or cycling without any hassle."
