The Romea Theater will host next Saturday the National Contest of Music Bands 'City of Murcia' (09/11/2016)

The Teatro Romea will host next Saturday, November 12, the National Contest of Music Bands 'City of Murcia' in which the bands of Third Section (composed of up to 55 musicians) of the Union Musical Horadada, Association Union Musical Villa Of Bullas and White Musical Grouping

The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture seeks with this festival, which joins other actions such as the agreements established with the musical associations of the municipality, as well as the concerts held in the streets and squares of the city, strengthen and promote the Culture and musical artistic values.

According to Councilman Jesús Pacheco, "this cultural strategy has a multiple objective: the promotion of culture in the municipality, the creation of a cultural and leisure offer, the promotion and support of associations in our municipality and the provision of Bands of music a frame in which to show their works at the same time that they serve as immediate objectives and stimulus for the day to day, so much to the musicians as to the directors and the directives ".

Pacheco added that "this event is one of the most important in the entire Spanish state, due to the rigor and seriousness of the work developed in the technical organization of the Federation of Music Bands in the Region of Murcia, as well as the Presence every year of a jury that enjoys a very high musical level, in all its aspects: technical, theoretical, pedagogical, management, concert, composition ... "

The Jury, at the proposal of the Federation of Music Bands of the Region of Murcia, is composed of personalities from the world of music as Lieutenant Colonel Director Musician, Pedro Soriano Guerrero;

The composer, solo teacher and conductor, Josep Mut Benavent, and the director and professor, Juan José Navarro Hernández.

It is necessary to emphasize that most of the economic budget of the contest arrives of a direct way to the different bands of music that participate, since they are given an economic amount for help to participate in the contest (1,050 euros each one of the bands Participants) and for prizes:

1º Prize .............................................. 1,550, 00 €

2nd Prize .............................................. 1,250, 00 €

3rd Prize .............................................. 1,050, 00 €

Before the access of the bands of music to the Theater Romea will realize a parade by the streets of the historical helmet of the city.

In their performances they will have to interpret of forced form the work 'The wich and the saint' of Steven Reineke, besides a pasodoble and a free work.

Admission is free with an invitation to be picked up at the Teatro Romea box office, from 11 November.
