Project celebrates its 20th anniversary Man taking its prevention program against drugs to more than 3,000 young (02/11/2016)

José Ballesta, the president of the Solidarity Foundation Board and Reinsertion, Thomas Zamora Ros, and the director of Proyecto Hombre Murcia, Asuncion Santos Pascual, presented the Memory of Man Project 2015, commemorating its 20th anniversary.

Last year Project Man attended a total of 1,438 people in Murcia.

In their treatment programs she attended 604 people, 12% more than last year.

In addition, 479 people attended the care plan and 584 families to information and diagnosis.

The number of women treated has increased by 28%.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, the president of the Solidarity Foundation Board and Reinsertion, Thomas Zamora Ros, and the director of Proyecto Hombre Murcia, Asuncion Santos Pascual, presented the Report of Man Project 2015, commemorating its 20th anniversary today.

"Proyecto Hombre is the pioneer in the specialized care for people with addiction problems, a benchmark with more than 20 years of history in society Murcia region and an example of unconditional work in the service of the values ​​it represents humanism" said the mayor.

With a multidisciplinary team of 25 professionals in the field of addictions (psychologists, social workers, educators, social workers, etc.), about 130 volunteers and the work done by the Board, Project Man could meet in 2015 to a total of 567 people, a figure nearly quadrupling to that seen in 1995 (149 people), the year that started Proyecto Hombre.

Within its Youth Program, Project Man provides guidance and advice to help young people and has a 'Parent Workshop' in which the whole family can participate.

Given the need to work on prevention programs, Project Man works with schools through three programs: together, puzzle and A Time, destined to young people have greater protection against drugs, in collaboration with faculty , counselors and family.

In this 2015 we have worked with a total of 3,050 students, 175 parents and 144 teachers and other educators from 27 different centers.

From the day centers in Murcia and Caravaca de la Cruz, and the Therapeutic Community of El Palmar, Proyecto Hombre leads from the May 5, 1995 accompanied thousands of people and helping them to believe in themselves.

The institution is a regional leader in the treatment of addictions, providing an effective response both preventive and therapeutic area, a commitment that extends to reintegration, research and social awareness.
