The City Council is studying financing lines for the historic site of Monteagudo with the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain (29/10/2016)

Murcia City Council has taken a further step in the recovery of one of the emblematic environments of the municipality as complex Monteagudo, after the meeting held yesterday by Mayor José Ballesta with the director of the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain, Alfonso Muñoz , an institution under the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

At the meeting, which was also attended by councilors Roque Ortiz, Jesus Pacheco and Antonio Navarro, the valorization of the Historic Site of Monteagudo was treated, delving into the ways of funding by the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain and possibility of reversal of that heritage the City of Murcia.

The Protection Plan Cabezo de Torres Monteagudo and starts walking

Coinciding with this meeting, the Governing Board approved yesterday entrust the management Urbanizadora Municipal work on the drafting of the Special Plan for the Protection of Historic Site and Cabezo de Torres Monteagudo.

This initiative covers a very wide area with different kinds of soil comprising urban and developable land in the districts of Monteagudo and Cabezo de Torres (Cabezo de Abajo), and soil is not corresponding to the orchard that unites developable.

It also includes monuments Castle and Castillejo de Monteagudo, Larache Castles and Cabezo de Torres;

and the properties of Armero mill, oil mill and Alberca de Larache, the Albercón of Castillejo and irrigation ditches.

The Special Plan will contain planning measures to be taken for better protection ratio values ​​to preserve and protect all assets.

For this conservation measures thereof, and the determination of appropriate uses of goods and proposals for action will be established.

Equally specific ordinances for the area was drawn up, and within it, for the different areas that compose it.

The Special Protection Plan invigorate the historical and archaeological research based on his knowledge and dissemination, for which the areas where it is presumed the existence of remains, urban plots and historical frames that give rise to actual core and all goods will be brought historical, architectural or social interest.

Therefore, it is presented as a document that will establish effective measures for the maintenance and enhancement of the uses, activities and relationships of the Historic Site.
