The Catholic University of Murcia and the Court of Arbitration of Murcia this morning signed a collaboration agreement with the aim to disseminate and promote arbitration among students as a way of court settlement to a conflict.
The agreement was signed by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and Salvador Huertas, president of the Court, who expressed his gratitude to the university for its commitment to arbitration.
For his part, the president of the UCAM, who also pleased by this agreement, said the importance of promoting arbitration as an alternative to conflict.
"We are convinced that the court of arbitration is an effective way to resolve conflicts in an extrajudicial phase and undeniable advantages such as fast tool, there is a limit of six months to resolve such conflicts, but in practice we are in an average of four, or discretion, "said Salvador Huertas, who also recalled the need for further work in this field.
And in that outreach and promotion of arbitration has a UCAM role "because ultimately prescribers recommending arbitration usually lawyers or economists, who are those who advise their clients, and hence the importance of future professionals".
At the signing it was also attended by Pedro García-Balibrea, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia.
