Murcia celebrates the Day of the Library programming fifty activities (21/10/2016)

The Department of Education and University Relations, directed by Rafael Gomez, has scheduled 50 activities to mark the Day of the Library held on Monday 24 October.

The Municipal Library Network Murcia celebrate this day in the 18 libraries that are part of the Network with a program that will run until October 31.

These activities can highlight the 'First Meeting of Local Authors: El Palmar' by its authors, moderated by Pedro Soler (Official Chronicler of Murcia) and completed by the exhibition 'El Palmar, a journey in time' cash.

The appointment is in the Theatre Bernal of El Palmar next October 24 at 20 pm.

Since 1997, each October 24 Day of the Library, an initiative of the Spanish Association of Friends of Children's and Youth, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport is commemorated in memory of the destruction of the Sarajevo library torched during the 1992 Balkan War.

Book clubs, very popular activity among adult users of libraries.

Today 13 clubs and reading is performed in 12 libraries Network function. It is intended to carry out 49 sessions.

This activity is carried out in concert with ASSIDO and ASTRAPACE in the libraries of Santiago el Mayor, Bacons Bridge and San Basilio.

Chess workshops have been very well received among younger users libraries.

They are held in libraries El Palmar, La Alberca and James.

Cineforum and Club Dumas reading, activities performed in the Library "Segura River" monthly and aimed at adult audiences.

These activities must be added, illustration workshops, computer and craft;

book presentations, theater and magic.
