Citizens expects the PP put an end to cuts in the hours of service to users in the next contract for the management of day-care centers (18/10/2016)

The mayor Paqui Pérez has requested a meeting with the councilman of Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, to address this issue and the need to launch more day centers for the care of elderly people in the municipality of Murcia

Councilwoman Citizen Paqui Pérez expects the local Government to end the cuts imposed last year in the number of hours of care to users for next contract for the management of the centers of municipal day Beniaján, Cabezo Torres and Barriomar.

Therefore, from Citizens have requested a meeting with the mayor responsible, Conchita Ruiz, to address this issue, especially after the adoption by the Governing Board last October 6 the new agreement between the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS) and the City for the regulation of day care centers.

"Little time for signing the new contract missing and we would like the PP government did not implement any cuts in the number of hours of care to seniors," insisted Paqui Perez, who will also move Councilwoman Rights social concern at the increasingly evident lack of places in day centers Murcia.

"We should get going and start to prepare a report on the needs of the centers of days, and supply and demand for this service from our elders," stressed the mayor of citizens who, in this sense, has added that "the policy of care for the elderly should be a priority of public administration and is our obligation to ensure coverage for such care and basic care."
