The UCAM dresses Olympism receiving seven medalists Rio 16 (15/10/2016)

Mireia Belmonte, Saul Craviotto, Teresa Perales, Cristian Toro, Marcus Cooper Walz, Carlos Coloma and Joel Gonzalez, along with their coaches, participating in the 'VII Technical Conference COE VI Congress of Olympism UCAM "held on the campus of Los Jeronimos Tuesday October 18

The 'VII Technical Conference Spanish Olympic Committee VI Congress of Olympism UCAM' arrive on Tuesday, October 18 Jeronimos Campus of the Catholic University of Murcia with seven of the Spanish medalists at the last Games in Rio 16. Athletes and their coaches with college students share their Olympic experience last summer, where they became heroes.

The conference will consist of two round tables to be held in the Temple of the Monastery.

In the first, beginning at 16:30 hours, will be four gold medalists in Rio: Mireia Belmonte (swimming gold and bronze);

Saul Craviotto (canoeing gold and bronze);

Cristian Toro (canoeing gold);

Cooper Marcus Walz (canoeing gold).

They also accompany them Gonzalo Gomez De Salazar, Mireia Belmonte physiotherapist;

Luis Brazier, coach Cooper Marcus Walz;

and Miguel Garcia, coach Saúl Craviotto and Cristian Toro.

The second round table starts at 18:30 hours and will have three medalists in Rio 16: Teresa Perales (Paralympic swimming one gold and three silvers);

Joel González (taekwondo bronze);

and Carlos Coloma (mountain biking bronze).

This table also participate three technicians: Gabriel Esparza, coach Joel Gonzalez;

Mikel Zabala, coach Carlos Coloma;

and Angel Santamaria, coach Teresa Perales.

Previously, at 11:30 am, Alejandro Blanco, president of the COE, and Jose Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, will open the 'Technical Conference COE and UCAM Congress Olympism' and then (12:00 hours), Alejandro Blanco offer Inaugural Conference 'Sport and Christianity' which serve to also launch the International Congress 'Body and Spirit: Sport and Christianity in History', held in parallel in the Assembly Hall.

International Congress 'Body and Spirit: Sport and Christianity in History'

Which will gather for four days on the campus of Los Jeronimos experts who analyzed: from 18 to 21 October, from a more academic and scientific perspective, the International Congress 'Sport and Christianity in History Body and Spirit' is held the relationship between sport and Christianity over the centuries.

Renowned researchers in Spain and countries such as France, Italy, Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Chile and Poland, participate in various presentations and panel discussions that will take place the Hall of the UCAM.
