The Artillery Regiment No. 73 and UCAM hermanan an emotional Pledge of Allegiance (07/10/2016)

The Plaza de Armas Campus Los Dolores (Cartagena) of the Catholic University San Antonio (UCAM) has been the scene of the Jura or pledge to the flag of Spain for over a hundred people, most of them members of the university community , including the president of the University, José Luis Mendoza, members of the Governing Council, teachers, students or the maximum Spanish Olympic medalist sport, David Cal were.

The Catholic University for its part has been delivered to José Luis Carbonell of a bell for the chapel of his quartering, as a sign of the great relationship between this military unit and UCAM.

Four centuries as a military site

It is recalled that the current campus of Sorrows Catholic University was a military site for more than four centuries and, until recently, was the seat of Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment No. 73, belonging to Mando Antiaircraft Artillery Army Earth.

The educational institution, using the great buildings designed by military engineers of the Army, has rehabilitated facilities and equipped with the most modern equipment, making them well again in full value.
