UMU professor Vicente Cervera, reelected president of the Association of Hispanic Literary Studies (06/10/2016)

Vicente Cervera, Professor of the Department of Spanish Literature, Theory and Comparative Literature at the University of Murcia Literature, was re-elected last September, president of the Spanish Association of Literary Studies Hispanic Americans, a position he held since 2014 , so will continue to lead the same until 2018.

The Spanish Association of Hispanic Literary Studies emerged in 1992 in response to growing development in our country of research in the field of American Literature.

The creation of the AEELH in these years has allowed regular congresses nationwide and contributed to disseminate research interest through own publications.

Vicente Cervera Salinas made the career of Philology at the University of Murcia, where he received his doctorate in 1989 with a thesis on the poetry of Jorge Luis Borges.

In addition to its research dimension, embodied in numerous trials and studies, is author of several poetry collections, "Immortals Aurigas" V Centenario Commission, Murcia, 1993;

"The Score", Vitruvius, Madrid, 2001;

"The oblique soul," Verbum, Madrid, 2003, and "Climbing and Other Poems" Verbum, Madrid, 2010.
